Granular Synthesis is a new composers collective formed by five of Perth’s most exciting, emerging musicians to form a community of like-minded sound experimentalists, sound artists and music fanatics. The aim of the group is to form a community, curate shows, encourage new music to be written and give musicians an outlet to have their works performed and discussed.

The core group of Kynan Tan, Kelly Curran, Tim Beahan, Tiffany Ha and Ben Hamblin have all been hard workers in the local music scene over the past few years while also completing studies at UWA and WAAPA. They firmly believe in the strength of new music in Perth and want to provide a resource for people working in the fields of new music, audio-visual performance and electronic and acoustic music.
